Both Whitefish High School Soccer Teams were in action, Saturday, taking part in the 1st Round of the Class "A" MHSA State Soccer Playoffs.
Both Bulldog teams would begin their title defense, on the road, for the opening round of the post-season.
The Boys got underway first, on the day, as they traveled to Lone Peak. The Dawgs would come away with a 3-1 victory.
Whitefish would get on the board first thanks to a Kyler Jonson goal, right before the half, and led at the intermission 1-0.
Preston McPherson would add to it, scoring just after the half to give the Dawgs a 2-0 lead.
After a Lone Peak score cut the lead 2-1, Whitefish's Jack Oehlerich delivered the game sealing goal.
In the girls game, it was a lone scoring affair with the Lady Dawgs scoring the only goal of the game, winning the match 1-0.
The girls were in Hamilton for their opening round match-up.
Charlize Ullrich was the hero on the day, scoring the only goal on the day for the Lady Dawgs.
Whitefish goalie, Jackie Solem saved all 6 shots on goal.
