Whitefish High School Baseball Season Preview

Whitefish High School Baseball Players Meeting with Coaches on first day of practice inside the gym.

The Whitefish High School Baseball team has began practicing for the spring 2024 season.

This marks the second year that baseball is a MHSA sanctioned sport and it's also year two for the Bulldogs as a program. The Dawgs are coached by Kyler Blades who enters his second year at the helm. The Dawgs graduated 11 players off of last years team, who took 2nd place at State, falling to Polson in the Title game. The Dawgs finished the 2023 season 16-2 overall, 8-0 in league play. This year, Whitefish will look to their two seniors to help lead the way. While the Dawgs lost a lot, they bring back a wealth of experience and a strong core led by Michael Miller and Brady Howke. I had the pleasure of swinging by their first practice of the season to talk with Coach Blades as well as the two seniors, Miller and Howke. Here's those interviews:

The Dawgs open their season, the weekend of March 15th and 16th, in Polson. You can hear a select amount of the Whitefish High School Baseball games live on KSAM this spring. All home games will be broadcast live. 10 total games (All 7 home games + 3 road games and any/all post-season games) will be aired. The three road games to be broadcasted will be announced later. Stay tuned to Bee Broadcasting for more on Whitefish High School Sports.
