The 2024 Class "A" State Track and Field Championship Meet took place May 24th and 25th in Laurel.
Both Whitefish Teams would finish top 5 at State with the girls taking 2nd place and the boys finishing in 3rd.
Both Corvallis boys and girls teams would take home 1st place.
The Columbia Falls boys took 2nd while Hamilton girls were 3rd.
And now a look at the top individual performers, for Whitefish. Starting with the girls:
Brooke Zetooney would win the 200, was 2nd in the 400 and helped the 4x400 Relay team take 1st.
Rachael Wilmot was 3rd in both the 200 and 400. She too, was on the winning 4x400 Relay team.
Hailey Ells was 2nd in the 300 Hurdles, 3rd in the 100 Hurdles, 6th in the 100 Dash, was on the winning 4x400 Relay team and took 6th in the High Jump.
Bailey Smith finished 5th in the Javelin and was 5th in the Triple Jump.
The Lady Dawgs 4x100 Relay Team would take home 1st place as well.
And now a look at how the Whitefish Boys performed:
Carson Krack would take 1st in both the 110 and 300 Hurdles. He was 2nd in the Long Jump, 3rd in the 400, 4th in the Triple Jump and helped the 4x400 Relay Team to a 2nd place finish.
Simon Douglas was 3rd in the 800 and helped the 4x400 Relay team to that 2nd place finish.
Carson Gulick was 5th in the 110 Hurdles
The Dawgs 4x100 Relay Team took 1st as well.
