The Whitefish Basketball teams played host to Browning, Saturday night, for a double header of High School Hoops.
Starting things off with a look at the girls game:
The Lady Dawgs would fall behind early as Browning got off to a hot start, leading 22-6 after one quarter.
Browning kept the pressure on all game and added to their lead, taking a 36-10 lead into the halftime break.
Whitefish had their best quarter in the 3rd, dropping in 11 points but the night belonged to the Lady Indians. Browing would come away with the 63-26 victory.
Madi Gordon would earn the OrthoRehabe Player of the Game as she put up 7 points in her first start of the season. Yoli Krastev led the Lady Dawgs in scoring dropping in 9 points.
As for Browning, they were led by Natalee St. Goddard who had 21 points, dropped in 5 made 3's. Teslin Trombley added 13 while Amari Calf Robe had 10.
Following all the action Browning is now 8-4 overall, 5-1 in conference play. They sit in 2nd in the Northwest A.
Whitefish drops to 3-7 overall, 0-4 in league play.
In the nightcap, the boys game did not dissapoint. Browning and Whitefish sit 3 and 4 in the conference and the game lived up to the bill.
Whitefish, after some early turnovers, took a 15-11 lead after the first quarter.
Browning would answer right back as they responded with a 23 point 2nd quarter and grabbed hold of a 5-point lead at the half, 34-29.
Free Throw shooting would be a common theme in this one as the teams combined to shoot 58 shots from the charity stripe, the majority of those coming in the 3rd quarter.
Browning scored 10 of their 18 third quarte points from the free throw line and exted their lead to 52-44 heading into the final frame.
The Dawgs would not back down as they came out on fire in the 4th, going on a big run and took the lead on a Mason Kelch three, to make it 61-60 in the final few minutes. Browing then went on an 8-0 run to make it 68-61 but the Dawgs had a chance at the end. With Browning up 3, with 6 seconds on the clock Kelch missed on a deep three that would of tied it and the Running Indians held on for the 69-66 victory.
Kelch led the Dawgs with 19 points. Carson Gulick added 18 while Carson Krack had a double-double with 11 points. Krack was voted the OrthoRehab Player of the game, for the Dawgs.
For Browning, they had four players in double figures, led by Maurice Redhorn with 19.
Browning finished the game 20-26 from the free throw line while Whitefish was 16-32.
With the win, Browning improves to 8-4 overall, 4-2 in conference play.
Whitefish falls to 6-4 overall, 2-2 in league play.

Boys play host to Ronan with tip-off at 7:15pm. Boys game will be live on KSAM.
Both teams close out the week playing host to Rival, C-Falls. Girls underway at 6pm, boys to follow at 7:30. Both games live on KSAM.
