The Whitefish Basketball teams were in action last Thursday and Friday as they took to the hardwood to face Ronan and Columbia Falls.
On Thursday, both teams matched-up with Ronan. The boys were at home with the girls on the road.
In the boys game, the Dawgs would find themselves down early as Ronan outscored them 20-11 in the first quarter.
The Chiefs kept things rolling in the 2nd and increased their lead to 12 at the half, 32-20.
It was an even played 2nd half as Whitefish would battle but Ronan proved to be to much. The Chiefs led 50-39 after three and hung on for the 61-48 victory.
Whitefish was led by Carson Gulick with 13, Cooper Dudley added 10.
Kolby Finley led the Chiefs with 16 points while Laurence Lozeau and Sean Small scored 14 apiece.

In the girls game, the Lady Dawgs would find early success leading a low scoring affair, 5-4, after 1 and pushed that lead to 19-14 at the half.
The Lady Dawgs put in another great 3rd quarter, dropping 14 in the frame and led 33-25 after 3.
The Lady Chiefs would turn up the heat in the 4th, applying heavy pressure and dropped 20 in the final quarter to comeback for the 45-38 win.
Whitefish was led by Carmella Alfieri with 9.
Lauryn Buhr and Maddy Illig would drop in 8 each, to lead Ronan.
On Friday, both Whitefish basketball teams would travel the 7 miles over to Columbia Falls for a match-up with the Wildcats.
Both Columbia Falls basketball teams would come away with big wins in this rivalry contest.
In the girls game, the Lady Dawgs would find themselves up 11-6 early but after a timeout by 1st year Head Coach Jeremy Grilley the tide would change.
The 5-point lead was evaporated almost immediately as C-Falls would go on a 20-2 run to close out the 1st half.
The Lady Wildcats would keep their foot on the gas peddle in the 2nd half and cruised to a 58-38 win over Whitefish.
Taryn Borgen led C-Falls with 20 points while Addy Bowler had 12.
Whitefish was led by Allie Shors with 9.

In the boys game, Whitefish would trail early but closed the first quarter strong thanks to a CJ Thew and-1 play and the Dawgs trailed 16-11 after the 1st. It was all C-Falls after that
Columbia Falls would have all the answers in this one as the Cats powered their way to a 27 point 2nd quarter and took a 43-22 lead into the halftime break. Bjorn Pederson had 20 at the halftime break for the Cats.
Columbia Falls would cruise in the 2nd half as 11 different players would score in the contest. C-Falls ran away with the 79-38 win.
Pederson led the way with 23 on the night. Jory Hill had 14.
The Dawgs were led by Cooper Dudley with 8.
Following the weekend's action the Lady Dawgs are now 2-6 on the season (0-3) in conference play.
The Dawgs fall to 3-5 overall (0-3) in league play.
Both Whitefish Basketball teams are riding a 3-game losing streak.
The Columbia Falls Girls have improved to 4-6 overall (2-2) in conference play.
The C-Falls boys are now 8-2 overall (3-1) in league play.
