The Whitefish Bulldog Basketball teams will be in Frenchtown, on Saturday, to ring in the New Year.
it's a double header as both teams head south with the High School Basketball season returning to action.
Boys Game Preview:
The Bulldog Boys basketball team currently sits at 2-2 on the season.
The Dawgs won both their games at the Western "A" Tip-Off Tournament but lost both their games at the East-West Tip-Off Tourney.
The Dawgs are averaging about 57 points a game while giving up about 50 per contest.
Carson Gulick is top 10 in both points and rebounds, averaging 18.3ppg and pulling down 8rpg.
CJ Thew leads Class "A" in steals with 5.7spg.
Will Sisson is tops in 2-point Field Goal Percentage, making 85.7% of his shots.
He's 56.2% from three.
Whitefish will be up against a tall order, Saturday, as Frenchtown sits undefeated on the season, 5-0.
The Broncs put up about 65ppg while giving up only 38.
Looking at Frenchtown's roster: They are big and physical. Six players are listed as 6'3 or taller.
Their leading scorer, Hank Smith, is 4th in Class "A" dropping 21ppg.
Girls game Preview:
The Lady Dawgs are currently 1-3 on the season.
They split at the Western "A" Tip-off, defeating Stevensville.
They too would drop both contests at the East-West Tip-Off.
Whitefish girls are scoring about 40ppg while giving up about 38ppg.
Freshman Reece Hudson leads the way for them, scoring 8.8ppg.
Frenchtown is 3-2 on the season.
They put up about 42ppg while surrendering 39ppg.
The Lady Broncs are led by one of the best players in the state, Mason Quinn, who averages a double double on the season, 18ppg and 11rpg. Her 18ppg is 4th in Class "A".
