The Whitefish Bulldog Basketball teams played host to Frenchtown, Tuesday night, to open their 2023-24 season.
It was a double header of High School hoops action inside the Dog Pound.
The Lady Bulldogs would hit the hardwood first and held an early 5-2 lead but it was all Frenchtown from there.
The Lady Broncs came away with a 66-28 win.
Leading the way for the Lady Dogs was Ainsley Scott with 8 points, Jude Perry added 6.
Whitefish opens the season 0-1 on the year while Frenchtown improves to 2-0.
In the nightcap, the Bulldog boys basketball team would take on the Broncs.
The Broncs opened the game scoring 22 points. Eli Quinn, Montana Tech commit had 16 in the opening frame.
The Dogs would battle but but it was the Broncs leading at the half 34-22.
Frenchtown used a big 23 point 3rd quarter to put the game away.
The final score was 76-48 Frenchtown.
Three players scored in double figures for the Bulldogs with Mason Kelch leading the way with 14. CJ Thew and Mason Genovese each had 11.
Frenchtown was led by the Montana Tech Commit, Quinn with 28.
The Bulldogs start the season 0-1 while Frenchtown opens 2-0.
Up Next: The Bulldogs will be in Frenchtown Friday and Saturday for the Western "A" Tip-Off Tournament.
Saturday's games will be broadcast live on 1240 Sam with the boys at 9am and the girls at 12 noon.
Due to Toys for Tots Friday's games will not be broadcast live however stay tuned for updates and results.
