The Whitefish Bulldog Boys Soccer team is headed to the State Championship Game!
The Dawgs were in Stevensville, on Saturday, taking part in the MHSA Class "A" State Semi-Finals.
This was a match that lived up to the billing.
Whitefish showed why they're the defending State Champions. This contest came down to the wire and saw the Dawgs win on a buzzer beater, to send them to the State Title match.
The Dawgs won the match 4-3.
Kyler Jonson would knock through the only first half goal, for the Dawgs and the two teams went into the intermission tied at 1-1.
Jonson would tack on another in the 2nd half to give the Dawgs the 2-1 lead.
As the match went on, the Dawgs would find themselves down 3-2 with 3 minutes to go. That's when the magic happened.
Henry Barbieri would tie things up late in the half and then Rowan Perkins would knock in the game winner, from just outside the center circle, to send the Dawgs dancing.
