Preview: Whitefish Basketball at East-West Tip-Off Tourney

The Whitefish Basketball teams will be taking part in the Class "A" East-West Tip-Off Tournament, this weekend, at East Helena High School.

Both teams will face a pair of opponents: East Helena and Glendive.

The Whitefish boys enter the tournament 2-0 on the season after defeating Corvallis and Stevensville in the North-South Tip-Off Tourney last weekend.

The Dawgs scored 70 plus points in each contest.

Carson Gulick led the way scoring 41 points over the 2 days while Sophomore Will Sisson dropped in 32 and Ryan Conklin had 21.

Meanwhile, the Girls Basketball team has started off the season 1-1: picking up a win against Stevensville while falling to Corvallis.

The win against Stevi is one of the biggest wins for Lady Dawg Basketball in recent memory.

Freshmen Reese Hudson and Alli Shors led the way offensively. Hudson had 23 over the 2 days while Shors put up 13 in game 2.

Both Whitefish Basketball teams will take part in the East-West Tip-Off Tournament at East Helena High School, Friday and Saturday.

On Friday: Both teams will play in the nightcap against the host team, East Helena.
